Large Pelagics Research Center

The Large Pelagics Research Center, under the direction of Molly Lutcavage, has transitioned to UMass Amherst and the Marine Fisheries Institute. Plans are underway to revitalize the UMass Amherst Marine Station in Gloucester, MA, America's oldest fishing port. Molly will be continuing long-term collaborations with her UNH colleagues.

Seventh-grade students from Deerfield Community School react as they pass around a live crab. This was one of many hands-on activities organized by the UNH Marine Docents as part of the Coastal Floating Lab on May 11 at the New Castle Pier.

Six multi-generational families, including this one, participated in the UNH Marine Docents' Family Boat Building Workshop on May 21-23 at Kingman Farm. Each family successfully constructed a 12-ft. sailboat that will also function as a rowboat.
